I wanted to know if you guys think the heads I am running are to much for my combo?

The motor is a 331 fully forged with a vortech with aftercooler running 12lbs boost. It has a trick flow R(non box type) manifold.

The heads are TFS Hi-ports. They are the old style KPI/TFS ones. They have 62cc cambers and have been extrude honed by CHP in southern cal.Flow rate 300cfm at .600 lift. They have shaft mount T&D rockers.

The cam is a comp cam: CCA-35-312-8

Someone had told me that my combo may be better with a smaller head. Maybe he just wants the heads I am running [Smile]

Those heads are going to be a little much for that combo...but don't trade them just yet...especially if that someone wants to trade you Victor Jr's...

that blower is going to want to move air. shaft rockers, im assuming solid roller lifters and a big cam since you posted .600 lift cfm. if you plan on taching over 6k and want to make big numbers on top, keep them. if you want an ubertorque low rpm big rig, then yes, smaller. DONT spend any money changing them

the heads are only going to flow as much as you put thru them. if you are worried about low rpm power, ditch the heads. if you're not(and i doubt you are), keep them
