need a little help, i was driving along in my 89' gt tonight and my headlights just cut out. the corners and inners stayed on. a few seconds later the headlights turned back on. it did this a for about 5 minutes... im thinkin headlight switch, but i wanna see if anyone knows for sure so i dont go and buy parts i dont need ya know?? t. i .a.!!!

Headlights can be the switch or the turn signal assembly on the steering column. With gt's the headlight switch is prone to melting the back connector if you also have the fox lights on.

i d that problem when i first got my fifty.. it ended up being my headlight switch. there should be two metal tabs on the side of the headlight switch.. pry them over and the switch should pull out away from the dash.. i just pushed the connector back into the switch and it wsa all good. goood luck hopefullly it is justt the connector and not some expensive fix [Smile]

good call, one of the connectors was fallin out of the plug hence causing the problem, thanks for the help!! [patriot]
