Do you guys recommend putting the inch adaptors on a 4 lug to fit 5 lug rims? Im not doing the whole conversion just the adaptors. The tire shop said they didnt but they seemed kind of shady so im not sure. Also is 18x9 too big for an 87 coupe? or even 17X9 at that?

yeah u can do adapters if u dont mind the low rider, out of the fender well look.
to answer your question about 9" wide wheels w/out knowing the specifics, yes they're okay. keep in mind its not as simple as it sounds and i recommend u do a lot of searching on the corral for more info on 5lug conversions.
