My friend has a 93 mustang. When he accelerates at high speeds the oil prssure will somtimes go down quite a bit Does anyone know what might cause this? He recently had some work done to it and does not want it to blow up.

stay out of wot, get a new oil pressure sender, and hook it up to a real (a la autometer) gauge. if it is still dropping w/ new sender and good gauge, he doesnt have long left

I'll tell him to try that. Do you have any idea as to what could cause this problem?

Sounds like a cracked crankshaft. I've had 2 cars do that and both had a cracked crank, It stresses under load of WOT and oil leaks out through opening cracks.
