well i changed out the auto pedals in my 79 mustang,it used a square switch (2 spade connector) the later 87-up 5 speed pedal set up does'nt have the same provision for the switch,it looks like a round brake light switch is used? can i use the later switch? is it 2 wires as well? thank in advance.

a switch is a switch, all it does is close the contact inside and those 2 wires are connected to turn on the brake light relay, which turns on the brake lights.
