Author Topic: clutch break in.. 75 chevy ¯ Member # 6717 posted                              '06 gt spec 2+... I never broke in a racing clutch. I have done about 350 city miles of driving. last night I was cruising down the hills in danville with a blue mach one. my clutch started to smell at high rpm's. Twin disc, single disc? What typw of material If it is kavlar, you need to break in the clutch by heating it up (jump on it hard) cool down and repeat this about 4 times. Other matl. is like you have done...about 350 to 500 miles of varied driving...no hard pulls. -------------------- FAST COBRA VERT.
