I have a 90 gt but grant doesnt make an installation kit for the 90-93 mustang models but my question is, is because its illegal to remove factory the air bag or is the steering column completey different besides the non tilt option? the reason i ask is i have my old grant wheel and i want to put it on plus i still have my 87-89 kit sitting in my room i dont care if it doesnt look all perfect i just want to know if it will it work. It'll work.

Be careful taking out that airbag though!

what about for a '96 cobra? my buddy is building up a car that will only see the track so he's not concerned about the legalities, but he is concerned about what fits.

i put in a grant in my 96 gt...steering wheel and adapter kit from kragen(lol)...i guessed on the hub adapter kit..just got one for earlier ford and it worked. also got passenger airbag delete panel from upr. and this is a daily driver [Wink]

is it really illegal not to have factory airbags? i already got a speeding ticket and they didnt say anything about my steering wheel [dance]

i'm pretty sure removing any type of factory safety equipment is illegal. btw, do you have the part # on the adapter kit that worked with the '96?
