My friends 92 LX has been running a little rough lately and we decided to scan the codes. We came up with these codes:
64: ACT/IAT sensor 34: EGR pressure transducer sensor 51: ECT sensor 66: Mass air flow fault
Any ideas what we can do to eliminate some of these problems? I know we can probably replace all the sensors, but is there anything else that can be done?
thanks

you could clean them, thats about it. Was the car warmed up? Sometimes they will throw a code for the coolant temp sensor if its cold.

yes, the car was warmed up. Where is the ECT sensor? Also, if the EGR pressure transducer sensor the EGR valve?? If not, where is that one located?
Also, he just replaced the IAT/ACT sensor a couple months ago, but the code never went away even after replacing it with a brand new one...anyone know why [ August 05, 2006, 02:32 PM: Message edited by: SydeWayzSix ]

the ECT is on the lower intake just to the right of the distributor if you're looking at it from the front of the car.
if replacing the sensor doesn't clear the code then it's a wiring problem, I would clean the connector and check the ground strap at the back of the engine.
personally I'd add new ground wires from the lower intake to the head, and from the head to one of the swaybar bolts on the subframe.
