I got an 01 roush, with the side Exhaust.
I installed an x pipe on it but it doesn’t sound right, it doesn’t have a nice deep sound, it sounds more high pitch, than anything else
any suggestions??

Yeah x-pipes are loud and raspy. I was running a Bassani for a bit and liked it. However, the db level and raspy sound got old after a while.

Look into getting a h-pipe instead. Here is a good link to see how different exhaust setups sound

BTW, welcome to the site [patriot]

wow I just heard that 93gt w/ bassani x-pipe and headers [Frown] . I think I'll stick to my h-pipe and flows. I really didn't like the sound of the x-pipe on the 5.0's AT ALL. It sounds great on the later models 96-up though.

i had BBK shorties, BBK offroad X-pipe, and 1 chamber flows for a while. It sounded pretty mean (raspy), but on the freeway, the exhaust note got annoying as hell. I now run a MAC offroad H-pipe and love it! More mellow and deep exhaust note.

Just sell your X-pipe. What brand is it?
