i was fucking around under the hood today and noticed where they connect to the fuel rail, theyre not clamped or anything....do i have to let the car sit to depressurize the fuel system so i can slide them off, and install hose clamps? Also could this effect the idle at all when i pull up to a light? As its pretty shitty till i make a complete stop. it surges till i stop completely. I just replaced the fuel filter this weekend.

Ford fuel line connections use special fittings that need a special tool. Rubber fuel lines either use the special connector below or are perminently pressed on.
Ask your parts store for a ford fuel line tool if you need one. Buy the full kit that also does your AC lines. Pep Boys sells them.
