I haven't driven my mustang in about a month and when I went to start it the battery was dead. I tried jumping it for about 20 minutes and it wouldn't start. I swapped batteries to see if it was the battery and the car started up fine. I took it to Pep Boys and they told me that they can't test it or charge because they don't do deep cycle or marine batteries. My battery is only 2 years old and it would suck to have to spend another $130 on a new optima. Can anyone tell me if there's a place that tests deep cycle batteries?

put a VOM on it yourself. If it is below 10 it is dead. Anything above 10 MIGHT be salvagable with a deep slow charge.

Not all Optimas are deep-cycle or marine. On a related note, my deep-cycle Optima only lasted about 2 years... now it won't hold a charge much longer than a couple weeks.
