i have a set of the 02 gt bullit rims which are like 17x8 or something...i have a pair of 275/40/17 tires...will they fit on those rims?...i have 245/45/17 tires on it right now but i want these 275's in my rear...u think they'll fit?...let me know thanks...

i have those same size tired on my 00GT in the rear...has a SLIGHT bulge to it but looks nice...dooo itt!

thats fine because you went to a lower profile from a 45 to a 40 you should be fine just perodicaly check tire pressure

hate to be a stick in the mud but a 275/40 on an 8 inch rim is going to negate pretty much all the sidewall strength the tire used to have. They're meant to be on a particular size. Just because you can roll on them doesn't make them good for any one of us... we drive too fast as a rule and you know it.

Above all... Use the right tire size. for best results no bigger than a 255 on an 8 inch rim. no bigger than 265 on 8.5 and no more than 275 on 9".
