Is it possible to fit a set of shorty headers from regular GT-40 cylinder head or any other head for that matter? I know the spark plug design angle is different but from what I could see this wouldn't prevent using a diff header.

Am I wrong? Has anyone tried using something different? My main reason for asking is that I need to get smog done soon and the only thing I ever get crap for are my headers...thanks in advance for any help.

It depends on the type of header used. Most will not work. *Some* early Mac's will work. The only set that's a sure winner are the Ford Motorsports. Need some? [Wink]

I'll talk to you about the headers.

Also, I want to get the car out to you before smog. I've got a check engine light and a pretty bad loss of low end power....I checked all vacuum lines and everything looks fine. I need your eyes and ears man!!!

Care to take a pic and post it up? (#7-#8 plug area)
How close are the boots and plugs to the headers? I just pulled apart a GT-40P longblock with BBK's, it wasn't pretty. An equal-length on one side, a shorty on the other just to make it work. [Roll Eyes]

i am running gt40p heads and bbk shorty headers. i had a problem at first with burning up plug boots on the headers but i fixed this by running 90 degree boots in place of the usual 45 degre boots. my wires are for a 79 chevy pickup with a 350 but the length and boot angle work great on my 91 GT.
