I am looking to purchase an AOD for my 93 today. The car will never put down more than 300 N/A and is my daily driver. It has 410 gears. Just looking for any suggestions from past use or things you have heard.

Mild performance AOD ofcourse, not a stocker.

Mr. Don Sir, i'm not quite sure, but i got a friend who may be selling a damn near NEW Lentech AOD with a 3000 NON-lockup stall converter WITH a B&M ratchet shifter to go with it for only like 6-700 bucks. lemme know if your interested and i could find out for you.

the only thing is, Non-lockup converters generate more heat than a Lockup converter, but if you have a good tranny cooler (i got a huge B&m trans cooler with a fan on my stang) heat wont exist. [Smile]

Just bit the bullet and ordered the stage two unit from PA with converter including 2,400 stall. Summit is AMAZING compared to EVERYWHERE else [patriot]

Thanks for your offer Jayl. VERY reasonable, but I wanted to make sure I didn't have to do the job more than once and got the year warranty [Wink]

For 92-93 they do not make anything closer than 3.55 calibration gears.

Again, I cannot calibrate it correctly. Closest I can get is 3.55's but it would still be off.

check this link about speedo calibration....

http://www.mindspring.com/~steveflyer/speedo_gear_select.htm

you can do it...it involves getting into the trans to replace the driven gear.

don't know anyone who actually did it.

4.10's in my 5-speed and i just dealt w/ the 10 mph or so it was off. no big deal really...clicks more miles than your really driving.

the tach stays fine....it runs off the coil.
