Ok, so check it. I have a friend who bought the DuraTech focus (2.3 L) and would like it to be faster. Currently it appears that the fastest you're going to see this thing do with bolt ons is a 14.3 or so. (~170 WHP) Simply not fast enough!

Solution: Nitrous
Ok question... how much can this engine handle safely? This is a daily driver and we wanna keep it that way.

Also - Does anyone know how come all the aftermarket is for the 2.0L Zeetech(sp?) That thing is a DOG! you'll be lucky to get 140WHP out of it with bolt ons... yet there is a 2.3 that puts out a lot more and no one seems to adopt it in the aftermarket? Whats up with that? Why the hype on the 2.0L ?

Thanks!

Ryan

75 shot should be ok once in a while, but for a daily driver 4 banger i'd only run a 50 shot(at the wheels)

On a 2.0 with bolt ons i think you can get about 170FWHP. Right now with just a steeda short ram intake my SVT puts out 155 FWHP. With a tume, exhaust , orp, etc i should be close to 170. Once they make some cams for the SVT you should be able to get around 180 or so. The hype about the 2.0 is probably just cause its been out longer. I bet the 2.3 will have a lot more stuff in less than a year or so. Im not sure if they make it but get a jackson racing S/C if u want more power or a Vortech.

A buddy of mine has a daily driven 2.0 Focus, he sprays a 75 shot when racing every weekend.

I wouldn't run more than a 50 shot, but is it even worth it?

There is not much of an aftermarket for it because most people use them as COMMUTERS.

There is a boatload of after market parts for FOci. Sway bars, sturt tower bars, springs, control arms, intakes, headers, heads, you name it they make it.
