so..... how hard is it to convert my 86 to mass air. just asking cause the big brown truck came today and dropped off a cobra intake,alum. heads,and 1.6 rr.maybe my SD can handle it.no cam change. still looking for a TB.

unless you change the cam you'll be fine.
the SD works off vacume, so without affecting that with a cam change, you'll be fine.
www.50tech.com has some great SD experts.

The SD can handle it, but there is a dramatic difference in the way your car performs when you have mass air, you'll notice it if you've driven with SD for awhile.
I just bought a Ford Racing conversion, very simple, 1 wire from the mass air meter to the computer. A few bolts. Took like 10 minutes.

I to have an 86 5.0 with this convertion, It works great! But to answer your price question I bought mine for about $545.00 from summit racing.
-------------------- If the purpose of a wing is to apply down force to the drive wheels at high speeds, shouldn't the wing on most imports be mounted on the hood?
