Do ford thunderbirds have 5 lug , the ones with the 5.0s. I was thinking a cheap swap to the 88 5.0.

no, but the turbo coupes have rear disc brakes

Not only do they have disc brakes , but come with 3.73 gears standard its like frosting on the cake. enjoy

The ones with auto tranny had 3.73, 5 spd cars had 3.55. So your choice. The newer t-bird with 5 lug used a 5 on 4.25 lug pattern. Not alot of wheel options available.
