Has anyone used the trickflow street intake? How do good do they work and have you had any problems out of them? They say that it prevents air starvation to the front cylinders and that it can add 35-40 horsepower?

depends on the whole combo, slapping one on probably wont net that HP gain.
everything has to match: cam, heads, exhaust, etc.

The trickflow street intake manifold is a solid piece. You shouldn't have any problems as long as you properly install it (lots of silicone on the lower intake manifold, hook up vacuum lines correctly, etc.) It's just another bolt-on.
The 35-40 hp gain is total BS. Perhaps in extreme cases where you are SC'd and you have every other bolt-on BUT an intake manifold, you might get 20+ with port matching,etc but I wouldn't bet on it.
