I was wondering what Size of slicks I should get with my 3:73's . My set-up is a 306 s-trim, rpm intake, TW heads, small cam, 3550.
I was either thinking about either some 28x9's or some 26x10's
I don't want to rev the crap out of the engine, but I will get the limiter removed and really don't want to go much over the 6200 mark in the traps. what do you guys think would be better on the RPM's

if you stay with the 26s your gears stay the same, if you go to 28 your gears would be 3.53.
minus 10 from you gear ratio for every inch of tire over 26. well, atleast thats what i was told to do. it makes sense. the taller tire would turn LESS rpm. [ April 26, 2004, 11:31 PM: Message edited by: stoauto ]

dude, dont even consider a 28 inch tire for your car.
I'd say a nice set of 26x10 would be great for your car...especially with the 3.73 and your combo.

26x10's should work great for your combo.

I'd run the 26's too, but what rim are you mounting these on?...The suggested rim size for M/T ET Drag slicks is 26x10-15's is 9.0"...The suggested rim size for 26x8.5-15's is 7.0"(according to my new Summit catalog)...
I hope this is useful info...

Make sure you mount them on 15x10 rims with 6.5BS.

I'd hate to hi-jack, but what would be the best slick tire size for 4.10s on an '88 Notch with no tubbing - just BFH massaging? Quad shock removed on 15x9 or 15x10 with 6.5 backspacing per Jeff S input. I plan on using a 15x9 Weld Draglite however, but if a 26x10 can't fit on that tire, then I'll change rims. Will it fit? 26x10 on 15x9 for 4.10s?
