I am thinking about getting an MSD 6AL. I am running an S Trim. Do I need to use a boost controler as well? If that is the case, I might just get the MSD 6BTM. I do not have the vortech boost controler. Any help would be cool. Thanks.

If you already have a "tune" then I might get the 6AL, but it would be nice to retard the timming a little with the 6BTM on those hot summer days....Both boxes have the same rev-limiter...

i agree. if you can get the 6btm then get it. i've had to use mine occasionally on the extremely hot summer days. however, my btm portion of the unit whet bad and i had to send it back to msd. they fixed it no charge.
