Spark plugs~Use 14mm x 3/4" reach gasketed, no tapered seat plugs. Street application use Autolite 3924, for 205cc & 225cc race head use Autolite 3922, or equivalent. Plug selection is of course dictated by many factors including RPM level, compression ration and fuel type. Forced induction or nitrous applications usually require 1 to 2 heat ranges colder. Spark plug gap should be determined by the ignition manufacturer.
I'd run the 3924's and gap them at .044"...

Why lower the gap?...For "spark blow out"?...

Yep stock ignition needs a tighter gap sometimes. To keep the spark from blowing out. With an msd or crane box you can usually run a touch more gap

does blowout have anyhting to do with the temp of the car? When the car is cold, like the first 5-10 miles, It sputters past 3500rpm. After driving around for like 12-15 miles, no more sputtering past 3500rpm.

it happened even before I put on the charger. Car would sputter past 3500rpm until it was really hot.

No check engine light, huh?....I would run the codes and see what you get on the "sputter"....

I'm curious what your O2 signals look like. So this is something that is only present upon 5-10 minutes after start up right. I'd assume Apex looked at the car since you had their plates on it. What did they have to say? Give me a better run down on all the parts you have on the car. Whats you ignition like, wires and such.

All APEX said was re gap the plugs at .030. I just swapped out my plugs, and will try it out first thing tomorrow. I can't leave base today. ![[Frown]](frown.gif) As far as ignition goes, it is still stock, I am running Taylor wires, and autolite 3924's gapped at .030. (I wanted to try the 3923's, but I already bought the 3924's.)

Okay I think it has to do with my ignition set up. With the plugs gapped at .030. The sputtering wasn't too bad. I am going to try to swap out my wires, and maybe get a ignition box.
