The RPMs on my car hangs between shifts and the exhaust pops a little. Could my throttle body be dirty? If so, is it safe to use the over-the-counter throttle body cleaners to clean it? Or does my car need a tune (chip). It has a diablo delta chip (stock setting) and the car has 20K miles.

hmmmmmm never heard of a dirty TB before. Do you have an off road pipe. Sounds like a tune issue, unless you have an exhaust leak, when your RPM's begin to come down and exhaust leak will make a nice healthy pop. Very odd for the TB to be dirty on such a newer car unless you got something on it when you put your CAI on

Have you checked the obvious, like making sure the floor mat isn't interfiering and removing the intake elbow and having someone press the gas while you check the movement?
