For some reason my rpm gauge needle gets stuck around 2,000. I own a 98 GT, does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Something is obviously getting hung up or the base needs to be lubed a little.

There's no magic formula here... Take the thing apart and figure out whats wrong.
