255'45'17 Front 275'40'17 OK?

I currently have 245'45 up front and 255'55
on back (new).
The fronts will have to go because the current
bad alignment makes the car shake and
the sidewalls are bad.

I'm going to do front alignment and I need
to buy 2 new tires.

So I'm thinking on putting the above set up.
Would it look too weird?

Or just go with 255'45'17 all around?

I have 17'8 Tri-Bars
rims right now that I'll later replace
by either 95 R's or 03 Cobras

Thanks

what year car is this going on?? if its a 95 like im assumeing 2455517 is too big they come stock with 2454517 2554017 would be the correct fitment but i can rember if it will clear or now on the front. you car wont shake because of the alignment that a wheel balance issue.

275's on a 17x8 wheel is cutting it close, they might be too wide. The biggest I would go is 255's.

I have 17x8 '99 Cobra wheels...I'm running 245-45-17 on the front and 275-40-17 on the back..

My 245's on the back didnt get traction at all...My 275's give great traction but dont deal with lateral G's that well beacause its only an 8" wide rim...

I wouldnt recommend the 255-45-17 because your actually making your side wall slightly bigger, but if you like the look of 255's, they might be for you..

Dont do the 255/45/17's in the front. They are taller than 275/40/17's and will make the stance of the car look goofy. I say 245/45/17's up front and 275/40/17's in back.

What brand of tires are we talking about here? That makes a difference as different brands actually fit differently from each other even when rated at the same size.

Fyi...stock 94/95 cobras came with 255/45/17 goodyears on 17x8 wheels...no problems in fitment there...

Thanks everybody..

Yeah I got a 95 GT Vert.

In general I wanted to know if I run
55'45 front up front and 75'40 back
would look goofy.

I suppose it will.
I'll probably put 55'45' all around

Thanks
