I'm not talking sound, but power gain.

I know nothing about exhaust. I plan on getting a blower this spring if it doesnt blow up by then (I doubt it will) and could use some advice.

Long tube vs "shortie" headers? What's the difference power wise and is one better then the other for a blown car?

What about install? I know its a major bitch on the 4.6 but what about the 5.0?
Also, what brands to look for?
Thanks.

By far, longtubes will give you the most power. You'll need a shorty-style H or X. Off-road for max power. Of course, this setup is completely illegal, so don't get caught!

The SC will benefit more from the longtubes.

For low-flowing heads, you may benefit most from stepped longtubes. I forget what company makes them....

i beileve kooks makes stepped. but prepare to shell out a whole lotta $$$.

hooker headers are suppose to be excellent for longtubes. there longtubes clear enough so if you have to replace a clutch, you can without removing the headers.

Long Tubes give more horse power...It varies but I'm probably safe by saying 10+RWHP on a supercharged engine..On a 5.0 You'll have to jack up the engine and disconnect the motor mounts one side at a time...Its not that hard..
