Author Topic: Upgrading to a bigger alternator... PeNiNsula302 ¯ Member # 1061 posted                              I need to upgrade to a bigger alternator, 120 is stock on the 87-93's right? I need to get the next one up (which is 140, or 160?) but i was told that doing that involves serious wiring on our cars? On the other hand, my alternators been through a lot and is 13 years old, should i just replace it with a newer 120? Any input is appreciated , thanks! Check out www.PA-Performance.com for their 130 amp upgrade kit. I'm thinking about doing this to my car too (Orig. alt. with many new electronic things=no good).
