rite now im ussing 91 octane, some people tell me its better to use 89 octane, what do you guys think??

my cobra takes 91 and it runs fine, but it does depnd on your timing, combo mods

rite now my engine is pretty much stock, if i bump the timing up to 14 or so will it pass smog?? what should i set the timing to that will be safe for the engine??

lower octane=higher power as long as you aren't detonating. higher octane fuels are more stable (harder to burn) and release less energy.

try them all out, see which one you like best. I noticed a difference when I went from 87 to 91. Brand wise too. I use 76.

pick the lowest fuel that you can run your car with, without it detonating or pinging. That's the best fuel for your car. Racing fuel only works when the timing is advanced with it.
