What are the are the stock gears in a 98 cobra. Are they 3.27 or...... Thinking about putting in the 3.73s or maybe 4.10s. Anyone have info on these.

I believe they have 3.27...If you get aftermarket gears, I would go no less than 4.10s...maybe get 4.30s depending on how much freeway driving you do.

3.27s stock
don't get 3.73s, they make no difference.
4.10s if you plan on a power adder soon
I recommend 4.30s [burnout]

3.90s!! Intersting. How comes almost everyone goes with the 3.73, or the 4.10s. Anyone have the 3.90s in their ride.

But 98snakebite, get the 4.10's! You'll love em. I have 4.10s in my 2000 GT and they make around town driving extremely fun. I have 3.73's in the 94 cobra, and they're cool too. If I had a modular cobra, I would have definitely gone with 4.10s. Good luck to you.

3.90's would be fun in a 5 liter pushrod car. but 4.10's are the shit for modular cars. or even 4.30's [Eek!] [burnout]
but no matter what you go with, youll love it [Smile] [Big Grin]

4.30's 4.30's 4.30's 4.30's !!! [Big Grin]
I got 4.30's on my Cobra and they F@#%en rock !
Most people think first gear is useless but they are wrong. My car pulls strong from 1st thru 4th. and for freeway driving they are not so bad if I remenber right 65 mph is about 2600-2700 rpms and 85 mhp its about 2900-3000 rpms. GET THEM ! [burnout]

i have 4.10s now in my 97 cobra and i need more gear! with 4.10s you have to shift into 4th gear right before the 1/4 mark. this hurts your E.T. a little. for all around driving 4.10s are cool, but i'm going to slap in some 4.56s in the next few weeks.

i love my 4.10's in my 5.0. im at 70 at about 2600rpm. and on the street, there a kick.

and don't be afraid of the gear nitrousracing. although you have a blower. i would say 3.73 at most. maybe even 3.55's depending on how much hp your pushing.
