i put a vortech s trim on my car and i didnt purchase the boost retard, but my question is, is it a good idea to install a boost retard when doing a s trim with about 9 psi will this help me any. thanks mario.

If you plan on getting a dyno tune with a custom chip soon, then you can do without the BTM. I'd stay off the throttle in the mean time. 26* total timing and 9psi of non-intercooled boost make for blown headgaskets.

Definitely lay off the throttle til you get a good tune!! Otherwise your engine is not long for this world.
