Ok guys this morning i went and started my car and it was shaking really bad.I thought it could be because i was on empty i barly had any gas.I drove it to the gas station it was still shaking really bad i put gas in it and it still was doing it.I drove it on the freeway it was still doing it.But it seemed like it got better when i gave it 3/4 throttle.I got home and i put my mufflers back on.I've had my mufflers off.It seemed it was running better it wasnt shaking so bad.But when I turned my car off i hered some kind of sound. It sounded like a piston was moving and not having any combustion.Im not sure if that what it was.But it sounded like metal toouching metal.I didnt want to have my car on too long a didnt want to ruin anything.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Checked your oil/oil level lately? What about coolant? Did a spark plug wire slip off the plug? Check engine light on?

*nod* It almost sounds like a cylinder is misfiring. That will cause the car to shake pretty bad.

I checked my oil its fine the level is good the coolant is good.I havent checked if a spark plug wire is off,but i dont think it is off.The check engine light isnt on.I aked someone what they thought when they heard it.They dont know much about the 5.0s but they said it sounded like the crankshaft could be broken.Im pretty sure its not coming from in the valve cover.I know there is things that could make the car shake but when i turn it off it sounds like something is broken. What should i do to start checking to see what is wrong?

I doubt the crank shaft is broken. In fact, I wouldn't take any more advice from that person.

Check your balancer (its located behind your crank pulley)... it could have gone bad on you.

Thats sounds just like what happened to me but when i popped my hood i saw that an ignition wire was popped off the plug. Your also sounds like your fuel filter might need to be changed.

check your vacuum lines.... spray some soapy water around or carb cleaner if your brave.... see if the idle raises.... alse see if your egr valve is hung open this will cause a major vacuum leak , like a .44 cal bullet hole in your intake.
