Been sitting on this first a few years and I'm gonna go a different route. Looking to sell my brand new rebuilt in the box carb legal vortech V2. It's just the head unit only and will come with a bracket to fit the 96-98 2v motors.. also I have a complete custom built intercooler setup that has just over 500 miles on it when I bought it.it is 100% complete it will even come with the front metal bumper that it was originally in so u don't have to cut the metal bumper up in your car. I. Looking to get $2200 obo this is what I have into it.
Please PM me for pics if interested. This kit on the proper motor will get you in the 550-600 rwhp area
