helping my cousin look for parts for his car. Looking for a good AOD with emphasis on the word "good". and a rear end. He really only needs the carrier unit, but for a good price he can go drum to drum.

so far the best price I have for a rear end is 75 bucks with 38k on 3:27's. i think I am going to go that route, but if things fall through ill work backwards on the prices given.
thanks ya'll....now if I could only get the hook up on a good AOD

If He has a rebuildable one then He should do a little research and get all the rite part's and have someone put together something that is going to last. Lot's of risk in buying a used tranny.

Hey, I'm replacing my AOD with a 6 speed sometime soon so for the right price I'd sell you mine with rear end as a package. If he's looking to spend less than $1,500 I'll keep it though. AOD is a Performance Automatic unit good to 450HP with a 2,500 stall converter. Rearend is recently rebuilt with new gears, bearings, posi etc. It has 410's in it. All this is still in the car so you can drive in it if you want. It will break loose in 2nd and bark 3rd every time your foot is to the floor.

VB?
It's just a N/A 306 with H/C/I. Runs 13.4 @ 105 on street tires. Wanted an AOD that would last, unlike stock units.
