Topic: Any interest in a Northbay/Sac BBQ?

I wanted to see how much interest their is in a BBQ/GTG in the Vacaville Fairfied area. I know in the other thread people were saying Hayward/Livermore etc would be to far of a drive so I wanna try and plan something out closer for the sac/northbay folks. if you are interested please post up in this thread and let me know. If we can get more interested I will set something up. As of right now I have about 15 or so interested from another car club.I want to make it as big as possible so I will wait another day or two and see how much more interest I get. then, I will set a date with all the details

I will roll to this. Let me know and Ill help plan it. We gotta do this:
Get a park reservation with enough room for a lot of cars,
Figure out if its going to be a bring your own food deal, or get it catered (depending upon how serious it is)
Time and Location.

i say we juss get those guys that make tacos and tortas (sandwiches) ..theyr cheap and they make heeelllla food..and u get to choose wut u want they got different types of meats and u get em for a few hours...

I say everybody bbq there own stuff and just roam around tryin a bit of everyone elses. Or do a potluck style. Just hit a roll call and see who's bringing what.

When I post up the official date and location. I will ask that those attending bring something like Chips, soda, hotdogs etc.if everyone contributes atleast one thing, we should have alot of food.

Yeah I'm down for the meet in the fairfield area. Just time and date. I think that f we can get a spot with a bbq or a couple of them in the same area we can take turns bbq'in. There was a park on the other tread that looked very promising.

It looks like I got atleast 20 people from Norcal-ls1 coming to this so far so it looks like we might have a good turnout. C'mon you guys, we need more Fords to show up I'll make an official thread this sunday so we can figure out what everyone is gonna bring and a date and time when this will take place.

I have narrowed the GTG to two possible locations. Pena adobe park in vacaville and Laurel Creek in fairfield. pena Adobe has alot of parking but Laurel crrek has a much better picnic area and has more things like a baseball field and a play area for kids etc. I will call the city tommorow to see if anyone has the picnic area reserved. I think we had better all get to whichever spot we choose early because all the parking space might get taken quick with this nice weather.

sweet im a vacaville resident, so you can definately count me in, pena adobe has a nice large parking spot but if its nice out expect lots of people walkin dogs and exerscising just out n about gotta get there early...

Yeah man this sounds good. Me & some guys had a smaller bbq a few years back that was cool. Definitely make sure u reserve a spot cuz if cops or a park ranger comes out a lot of ppl will be pissed if they gotta bounce. Organization is key for summn this size.
