Last time I checked, Dodge was a domestic car manufacturer, not an import. [Roll Eyes] Besides, who the hell wants to drive to Fresno for a car show in winter? What a waste.

I think what SteedaGT was pointing out is that the invited forums list is mostly composed of street racing, import and 'internet E-thug' websites.

Dodge's #1 performance car is the Viper. No doubt the Viper is a domestic automotive icon. Their #2 performance car however is further down the trough: The Neon; "Hi". Most people still consider Neon's and any other domestic 4cyl with a fart can muffler as "rice".

Having sold my Neon to buy the Mustang, I know what the neon community has out there (especially out here in the bay area). I know it has a bad image, but don't underestimate the SRT-4's. With the Stage II kits installed on the cars directly from Mopar these $20k cars are running mid 12's (consistantly) on pump gas and on street tires. Let's see anything short of a Cobra do that, plus do it at $20k. [Confused] I have yet to see an actual timeslip from a Stage III SRT, but I've heard on slicks High 11's, all with the factory drivetrain warranty too.

But the SRT-4(aka neon) comes with no muffler, so it's not rice, right [Wink] [Whoo Whooooo!]

Anyways, if only a few people come from each of the 30+ websites invited, it'll still be a large event. It'll probably be interesting to look at some different cars.

I respect many imports, however there are some idiots out there who I do not like. However, I respect anyone that can take a car they like an do so much to it. However, if they think they are fast, they do need to be put in their place [Wink] Sounds like a good time. However, I will pass up for sure since it is located 185 miles from my house. I'm not about to drive over 300 miles in one day to go to a car show unless I can win something [Razz]

Thats kinda gay of them. They should really take care of customers better. If you ever feel they are fucking with you just tell them you demand a buy back, since they sold a bunk car, if not you will report them to the bbb, and have a lawyer contact them. There were way too many problems for a car 3 days old. Don't take it up the butt from a crappy dealer, get things right.

Well they had no idea the tranny was bad, when I took it for a test drive I drove it hard and it ran well, Like the GM said to me, sometimes things like this just happen. But don't worry I am taking care of it, can't be a bum car just a bum tranny, but now its new so no more bum!! Happy modding time now!!

Hey, I'm not talking up Neons cause I think they're the greatest thing to ever come out of Detroit, because they're not, but I do know a lot of people take 'em for granted. All I'm sayin is, I know a few guys here in the area who have an SRT (modded), so if you roll up next to them, don't think it'll be an easy win.

Besides, I DID sell the Neon to guy another 'stang. Couldn't stay away from the low end torque of a Blue Oval V8.

Well, it's not really a car show, but Nor-Cal SAAC is having an open track day at Laguna Seca on Feb 7th & 8th. It's worth it to go see the vintage Cobras and Shelbys. Plus, bring a helmet, most of the guys will take you for a ride around the track.
