Tonight (thursday) There is going to be a ALL (import and domestic)car meet at the Pleasanton In N Out... Discovery Channel will be there filming for a special (about cars im guessing)...Saw this post on a few other boards just trying to spread the word out...hope to see you all there

Seriously? I was under the impression that they wanted imports there. I had no idea they were looking for ALL cars. How are they going to fit that many cars out there, that's not a huge location. Any decent number of cars would fill the location.

I checked the discovery.com web site and only found that they are going to have a new show held in vegas. 3 people on a team that make hotrods from stratch and race them in the nevada desert. If this is what tonight is for that would be cool. They are looking for potentails.

Someone sent me a link the other day to an import site. Basically said that the Discovery channel contacted him about gathering some local imports for a portion of a show called "Kings of the Street." It is supposed to include all cars, but from what I read, it sounded like this meeting was just for the imports that were going to be on the show.

I think someone needs to go and get the Discovery channel to come out to one of our events, like the Foster's Freeze meet, for some real cars ![[Wink]](wink.gif) Any takers? I'd go, but if someone closer to I&O-pleasanton would like to go, that would be better.

i jut got back from there, allot imports,as far as anything with more than 2 liters there was a burnt orange color GT with a cobra r hood, stevens svo gt turbo, a silver gt with a votrech(i believe)charger on it,a yellow mustang looked like a gt but i think it was a V-6,a white sn-95 Gt with hella dark tint(like the one that got pulled over at last months cruise )2 hotties driving it! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) yours truly in the mullet mobile! ![[burnout]](graemlins/burnout.gif) the DC crew was filming(mostly imports that had more lights than the Electrical Parade at Disneyland! ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) i laughed when some dude rolled up in a real GTR Skyline all the import crowd ran over too it,slippin' on eachothers drool!? i do not have pics(not done with camera yet!?) thats about all too report! it looked like fast and the furious on crack out there!

On the way home from work I stopped to get some food. I saw the silver Skyline leaving when I got there. It looked like a TFTF convention, so I went through the drive through and left.

I was definitely in the mood to go. So I told my "ol Lady" (the wife) that there was a Discovery Show appearance TONIGHT on cars'n stuff. "I'll be back in 2 hours, I promise." But she held me down and said that it's dark to go. So I stayed and played with the kids instead. At bed time she says, "Alright we'll check-out that car meet tomorrow." And I said, "But that was tonight...TOONIIGHT!" Her jaw dropped and I was Dumbfounded to know she didn't know it was tonight. So there ya' go. But I'm sure the camera crew shot all the import cars instead of something that really means American Muscle.

Yes I quoted myself but shit I knew it wans't going to be anything we would really sink our teeth into....damn neon lights...AREN"T THERE LAWS OUT THERE FOR THAT SHIT I would contact discovery channel about cafords but I don't want to misrepresentate us....maybe someone that can spell better than I can and can use a more profound terminoligy can contact them
