I live in Livermore, and just got my new Laser Red GT vert about a month ago. I put in a Steeda Tri-ax shifter, and have the money ready to buy a MagnaFlow highflow catted X-pipe, and MagnaPack Catback system. Who should I have do this?
The next thing I want is to lower my stang and then gears.
Question is: Who in the Livermore/Pleasanton area does this type of work?
I also have questions about lowering my mustang, and adding the gears. I don't want to bottom out on every speed bump so I don't want it to low, just enough to close the gap between the tire and fenderwell, and improve performance. Do I need CC plates? Do I need to change my shocks/struts. What are the best brands of parts to do this (price/performance)?
Gears: Pretty much made up my mind for 3.73's I have a manual transmission. Do I need to have my speedometer calibrated? what does that entail? do I have to buy a calibrator, or do the shops that install the gears have it?
Again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Matt

Don't pay a shop to do the X-pipe. I have done 4. Three are people from the boards; Armand, Roush2960, and Cloud9GT. Email me if you want help. It doesn't take that long.

Ok, Shaww. TheSicCrew can lower your car, we are a club here in Livermore, we have a perfect residence to do it at. If you want to do it right buy the new struts, shocks, C/C plates, and energy bushings, and like a Eibach Pro Kit, or Steeda springs. I had a Magna-flow systems, it was too quiet for my taste, plus magna-flows are kinda restrictive mufflers, so you won't get any real gains. I had my x-pipe made in Dublin, at our friends shop. It works great, looks clean, and best of all it was $100. If you want you can e-mail me and I could show you a few things to try, or to stay away from. Let us know. [Smile]

[worship] That is great news! I don't have the cash to lower it right now, have to get the exhaust done first. So it might be a couple or 3 months or so until I can lower it, I will email you then. I have $$ for the X-pipe and catback. I just have to order them.
I am partial to the MagnaPack catback and the magnaflow X-pipe with cats. I love the fact that there are people from Livermore/Pleasanton that I can talk to about my car and get advice from.
Thanks!! [Smile]

Thanks guys, I am buying my MagnaPack catback tomorrow, tried to buy it today but they were closed. Full Line Exhaust has the cheapest price on the Magnapack Catback system that I have found so far, here is their email response to me when I called and asked about them and the X-pipe:
Magnaflow X-pipe, cat-back w/magnapack option,

Catback system you have asked about is part# 15673 the price is 316.67 +
shipping. The X-pipe is part# 93335 the price on it is
379.99 + shipping. The x-pipe is not smog legal, it is for offroad use only.
If you are intrested in these parts please give me a call.

Thanks,

Ray Wright

[Big Grin] Thanks a bunch everyone for the offers of help, I would love to have your help when I get my Catback and X-pipe. (wife wants me to wait til this weekend to order the x-pipe, said something about wanting me to get my paycheck first).
I will let you know when I get both of them, I wouled imagine it is probably easier to do them both at the same time. Matt
