I've always had traction issues after large rain storms. I'm waiting until it's nice weather for a while before I go again.
Good Luck!

Bring some ear plug's & I'm serious ! I attended My LAST CMI event this summer and I would have paid $20 buck's for some ear plug's at that event .

Not to ruin your plans or anything but we were up there last week with my brothers race car and it was a waste of time..trailered all the way there to get 2 passes and the car didnt hook at all. No car that were there that day running faster than 10.0's could run there cars to their best potential very poor track conditions. But good weather and nice people just shitty traction for the fast cars.

You're tellin' me! I couldn't hook for shit. Made 4 passes & aborted 2 of them cause it was getting out of shape at the 1/8th. The track needed some work.. (scrapped & burned)

Is it a money deal or skill deal? Im sure we could come up with extra money to prep the track but if its skill on the workers part... Do these guys know what they are doing? I want the track better and Im sure most do aswell? AED is becomig very big, can you guys influence them on preppping the track better? I saw your bro, purple notch, and its a shame, youre right nothing could hook. It was pretty bad to say the least.

It is just a hit and miss thing. Every so often the track needs to have the rubber scraped/burned off to start with a clean surface for the VHT traction compound. For the first session or so after the track is scraped free of rubber the tracion also isn't optimal. Idealy we want just a slight about of rubber laid down on the track with the VHT over it, but that obviously isn't going to happen every day. No one can guaranty the perfict track every time, thats just part of racing.

One thing I do before choosing a TNT day is to see if there is a big race planned for that weekend. For example, Funny Car Fever is scheduled for April 11th and 12th. That Friday will most likely be an all day TNT and will HOOK! May 16th is the TNT for the National Open event.
I also think the TNT before the NHRA Chassisworks ET series is good, but it has been a while.
