Since it is cooling down up here the street drags are getting bigger. They had a Deisel truck drags also(sponsored buy a good friend of mines company)Best time was a 12 teen. Fastest time was a 8.08 at 170 plus Doug Reeds blown alchohal BBC chassi chevy truck(he runs at sac alot). Not bad still wont keep up with turbo small block Ford chassi cars but still very fast. My best ET was 11.20 at 124 it was leaning out in high gear. I should of been at 128 or so. I ran 98.8 in the 1/8th since I pick up 29 to 30 mph on the back half. I was still spinning alot with a 1.77 60 foot time being my best. You guy's should think about comming up soon we only have 2 street drags left I think.

Now I wish I didn't spend all my car money on a trip to Firebird Raceway, (Boise Idaho)....lol The track up there is very nice, but the 3000 ft elivation doesn't make for very good times.
Your car is running strong Mike. When will we be seeing it out at Sac?
Oh, by the way, my car still sucks [ September 19, 2004, 08:21 AM: Message edited by: Yellow94GT ]

I have heard Firebird raceway is pretty awsome. I have a few friends that go up there every year for some big race they have. Whats up with your 347?

It is a very nice, well managed track. Constant cleaning of the track also makes for better consistancy than other tracks I have been too.
My car needs a tune, but before it gets tuned I have to find the elcetical problem it has and fix it. It might run, (correctly), someday..lol

I took my droptop up to Redding this past weekend, and I wanted to go to the drags but I got there at 10 on Saturday and was too tired, then on Sunday it rained. Didn't even get a chance to go, which sucked because I was staying up the road from the strip, not even 5 minutes away.
I might be taking my hatch up there pretty soon, once I get all the clutch stuff put in.

An option for you to think about, http://www.cachassisworks.com/ there stuff is that thick (goofy NHRA rules)gauge tubing you need. Which ever one, or 'custom cage', you choose...PLEASE DO IT!!

When I drove past, somebody was doing a huge burnout! I want to go back to Redding before it starts raining heavy so I'll probably be at the Oct 2nd or 9th drags, hopefully I'll have my gears in by then.
