Topic: a little slic in Redding last night but great turnout

Well we kicked off the year of street drags with a good turn out. They teched 140 cars. lots of Mustangs even a 04 cobra(they said). The track was very slic like it usualy is the first race of the year. My first pass the anouncer said he thought I almost hit the gaurd rail(silly anouncer)as long as I can still see the end of the track I am going for it LOL. I ended up pulling about 5 degrees of timming out of it just to be able to run. Which under boost is alot. I managed a best of 12.003 at 118.41. they were watching me for running 11's so I will wait for the track to come around and then give it all its got.The best 60 foot I managed on a good run was 1.84. I hope to see some of you up here at least once this year. Mike

Just think when you get some traction what that car will run at Redding ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif) I'll make a trip or two to Redding this year now that I have something to tow the Mustang up there with.

There was actualy a car there that I thought might be you for a sec. I rolled buy it in the staging lanes and it had the left headlight out. About the same color as your car. I had to look inside. The Track will come around soon and will make for some great racing before it gets to hot. The fastest cars just stayed home but they will be out soon. We have a couple of 8 sec street cars & trucks) up here one runs at sac all the time.

Nice MPH. That car has really picked up since the time I saw it run at Sac.

That day at Sac was one of those that you want to forget. I actualy fixed the problem the nest day LOL. There is alot of ET and MPH left in it depending on if I want to try and kill it or not LOL 160,000 mile shortblocks need a little tlc. Here is a exam. of how lose are track was, at Sac I ran a 12.15 at 110 in Redding one of my runs was 12.13 at 118.12. So sing me up for a 12.00 in our web site race ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Sounds good, just keep that stock shortblock alive until June
