That blue goes good with the Bullits. Are you going to spray it in a booth yourself? What's under the hood?

Nice, cougars were actually my favorite car at one point. Be sure to post the progress [patriot]

BTW: Where did you learn body/paint? I'm trying to learn and been doing a lot of reading and watching videos. I'm not sure if it's just that I'm scared to attempt it(I don't want to make things worse) or I just think it should be more complicated.

Pretty much how you just said, reading and watching videos and practice. I've done about 10 cars now with really good results. 68 mustang, cutlass, 89 mustang, 78 bronco, 71 chevelle, 71 camaro, 64 falcon, 67 cougar (first), t bucket, 65 riviera. Started off spaying solid colors and then metallic. And base / clear is way more forgiving than single stage

I might just have to stop being a bitch and attempt it. What grit sandpapers do you use? 60 gallon compressor?

After final coat of primer, hand block the car with 400 with a guide coat. Yeah you need a good size compressor. Just go pick up a quart kit for like 60 bucks and play with it. I'm gonna paint my rzr side by side cage this weekend..

What gun are you spraying with now and what kind of filtration system has been working for you? I need to fix a couple spots on my pain and pllan on doing it myself. Fuck it if it doesn't come out perfect. I want a driver, not a car show IG car.

I've used a few other guns.. more expensive more cheaper.. but I've had really good results with this https://www.amazon.com/TCP-Global-Professional-Aluminum-Regulator/dp/B001OZMOV8/ref=pd_day0_hl_263_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001OZMOV8&pd_rd_r=3532de6b-e451-11e8-963e-55bdcc3215cb& pd_rd_w=rFAUu&pd_rd_wg=6AeZ7&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=ad07871c-e646-4161-82c7-5ed0d4c85b07&pf_rd_r=SSC60JPZEW0QDYCHECZ5&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t =40701&psc=1&refRID=SSC60JPZEW0QDYCHECZ5

For the price i usually just buy a new one when i'm done with the car.

Nice. I love the '67-'68 Cougars. What's the overall plan for the car?

^ Yeah that gun is cheap LOL.
I figured you'd bought like a sata or something by now LOL. Good looking out on the cheap gun though. Might have to try one out in the future.

Yep, rack is running great. I've been slowly accumulating parts to finish up the car. Just got my 9" center rebuilt with a Eaton True Track. Got all the stuff to get that together with disc brakes. About to order an American Wire harness for it to replace the very hacked together OEM harness I have. Also just need a couple more pieces to finish up the Vortech V1 kit I pieced together.

Almost to the point of finally getting this off the stand and into the car.
