Because it's not Carb legal. Just like a new car has to state "CA emissions" because Ford doesn't only market to one state.

Q.Can I purchase a LFP 727 HP Mustang in California?
A. In California only the LFP 670 HP Mustang is available.
Wonder if this has to do with a different supercharger setup to be smog legal?
*edit: looks like the toned down version is sporting this 50 state legal one from roush:

I wonder what exactly is the difference in parts between the 727HP vs 670HP? Also, are they the same price? 670 should be cheaper.
