I tried Pankeys radiator in Hayward and they were looking for $375 if I supplied the sump and they would seal the tank afterwards. Seems like an I don't want to do it price to me. Has anybody got a sump welded in the east bay. If so where'd you take it. This is for a 71 Comet, nobody reproduces a tank. I'd do it myself but I don't want to take the risk of anything happening. Thanks

I got mine done at Ryland Racing in Brentwood. They did it for less than they should have charged. I think I paid $150, but they should have charged more time, so probably in the $250 range. But since your's is a used tank, you're going to have to get it boiled out first (Pankey's) to get all the gas fumes and residue out. So once you add in gas for travel time and what not, it's going to cost you probably $375.

Why not use a mustang tank?

I may even sell my brand new one.

Comp engineering sump installed.

I'm considering stepping up to twin in tank walbro 465's.

That was the other option, buy new and add my sump which I can do on my own. Mustang tank needs minor mods but what would you want for the tank. How many gallons? 1/2 inch in/outlet?
