What camera are you using for your daily use? I'm tired of my grainy iPhone pics want to get myself a nice user friendly dslr good for point and shoot maybe some extra features but out the box does any one have any recommendations?
Thanks

EDIT: after some research, I'm looking for a dslr, not necessarily a lot of pixels but I do want a high quality image sensor. I'm not sure if they have released any with an lcd on it for live framing but that would be a plus. Anything other than that is what I consider advanced! Once again thanks for your help guys

DSLR and point and shoot are two different things.
DSLR camera's are going to cost you quite a bit, probably over $500.

There are some good point and shoot camera's out there. I really don't use them as I have a Canon DSLR. Canon is a good name for both styles.

Yea 2 different types of cameras completely, I only use canon because i like the sensors, quality and lens selection. Currently only have a 60D with some primes and Zoom lenses.
If your just starting out , look into the Point and shoot style that offer DSLR capabilities like the Canon powershot that can get your feet wet with the user options and picture settings.

theres forums that can help you get to that level as well, i frequent Canon POTN, also a nice tripod/monopod help as well as post processing your pictures.

For daily point & shoot, I use my iPhone 6. Photo quality is actually quite good. I have a Canon 60D with a few good lenses, that I only bring out when I want to get serious. I also have a little Canon SX500is I used as a go between before I bought my iPhone 6, but since then, the little Canon hasn't seen much, if any, use.

My lack of knowledge guys, I apologize! I didnt know "point and shoot" was a term to describe a specific type of camera. I was meaning more of a "very beginner friendly" dslr. Basically I'm looking for an edelbrock of dslr not a Holley just yet, if that makes more since lol

Then, look into what INFAMOUS5.0 said.. The T5I or older models are very user friendly, easy to handle and take nice shots straight out of the camera. Also they take full HD video.

I use a olympus pen Mini e-pm1. I had it for about 4 years and its a great point and shoot camera. It has extra features to play with and even the option to change the lense.

Another vote for the Sony a6000. Autofocus and 11 fps got my Canon 6D beat for action shots.

My first time ever shooting a race this past weekend at the Pirelli World Challenge, Laguna Seca. I used my Sony a6000 with 55-210mm for the action shots and Sigma ART 30mm f/2.8 for walkaround. I need more practice but the camera did great!

I personally use two Cameras for car duties:

Canon 5D MKIII and a Canon 1DMKiV. Both excellent paired with good glass.

You can take great pics with a DSLR with a cheap body and great glass.

You can also take a look at all the new 3/4 digi cams
