Absinthe is great but very loud. Waterbar or Epic Roasthouse on the embarcadero are good.

If you like Italian, go to "The Original US Restaurant" on Columbus. The food is amazing! Old Italian dishes and appetizers.. I drive across the Bay to eat there all the time. And plenty Gelato spots down the street for desert.. perfect for a date-night
