My boy just got one, he seems to like it a lot. He just got a lift kit on it so Mpg's are not the best on it. As long you ain't worried about being fuel efficient you will like it. Jeeps are always fun to play with.

All I mainly work on are JK's, usually lifting, putting a blower on, custom suspension, engine swaps and I got a Hemi conversion coming up next week. IMO they are pretty sick and you can do a lot with/to them.

The motors they put in them are gutless compared to the 4.0 straight sixes that used to be in there. Not positive on the newer ones, but I know the original ones came with dana 30 axles that did not hold up to the locker if you did serious wheeling. Had a friend go through a few axles shafts.

If you're doing more casual wheeling and commuting, it's hard to find a more fun and cable 4x4 from the factory.

Rubicon axles hold up to larger tires a lot better than Dana 30's. I've seen some people wheel on 37's with stock Rubi JK axles and they have been ok.
