Hello everyone I really don't post much on here, but I read through every posting every day. This time im asking for some advice/help. My dads truck broke down due to a cracked head. My question is could it be repairable? I been to a few pick and pulls and there isn't much of a selection on those trucks. His is a 4cyl and most of them are 6cyl. I could get a remanufactured one but thats somewhat out of budget, plus the block it self has a high milege already. Just trying to get this truck running and going the cheapest way possible for now. By the way im located here in the 209 area stockton.
Any advice or input would be great thanks.

You might be better off buying a whole new engine, call LKQ and get a quote from them for an engine.

Yea that's probably going to be the best thing to do. I'll see what they want for an engine. Thanks

i would def not get a pick n pull engine, ive seen tons of engines come outta there and be bad, if you do end up gettin one from pnp make sure the car has been wrecked, u pull one out of a half way decent car and u got a fifty/fifty shot its either the eng, or the trans thats blown!
lkq /parts planet is good for gettin eng they are fairly priced , ive got quite a few engines from there personally when i had a shop, id say two outta 15 were bad, but i wanna say they offer a free 30 day warranty, and a 1yr purchaseable warranty, and a 3yr purchaseable, dont fuck around get the 1yr or 3yr!!
