Finally made it out to the track. And I learned three things 1 racing is fun as shit 2 I need to work on my launch and 3 I need slicks lol

I have a 306 with roush heads,gt 40 intake e 303 cam 70 mm throtle body 24 lbs injectors 373s in the back and some bolt ons intake headers ect. my best time was 14.77 lol it was my first time at the track I know I can do better I just gotta practice more on my launch

306.... 302.... same thing. You don't need slicks. Just some seat time and practice launching.

Edit: I forgot the car show was the 21st lol Yeah I was running faster than my last time out with street tires again. My clutch is gone now I know some of you seen me trying to warm up my tires N my clutch wasn't having it I was pissed N then it tried bogging out off the line. Plus my car was running hot as fuck since I didn't know how to properly change the settings on my electric fan so it only kicked in when it was hella hot. I would've put on my DR's but it was wayyyyy too hot to jack my car up N swap out rims plus I knew my clutch wasn't gonna like it. Bad day for racing that's for shure.

Hell yea I suck ive never practiced launching just got the car not that long ago .just a daily driver but ima go back out there on wendsday again. Shit is addicting lol

you just need seat time, are you running st tires or drag radials/slicks? if on street tires dont do a burn out, heating up street tires just makes em slicker so they wont grab for shit

I shifted hella at hella low rpms too I was paying more attention to the stock tach then my monster tach n realized that the stock one is way off the next day
