Broke my collar bone in 4 places feb 26 [Frown]

 -
march 7 had surgery to put all the parts back together, titanium plate and a bone graft to 'glue' the ends of the main break back to the floating bits.

fun stuff, I'm still 1 armed and in a sling. Working part time until next week.

bailed off a big jump on a steep technical downhill trail called 'suicide trail' in agoura hills on my mtb...being stupid.

oh yeah, the 23 staples they closed me back up with were awesome...not

Ouch !

I know what its like, I crashed on a quad some years ago and snapped my rightside collar bone in half. Hurt like an SOB, no surgery for me. They just gave me a sling and some vicoden and said get well soon. Had to learn to wipe my ass with my left hand for a couple months . Lol . Sleep sucked too for a good while. Anyhow, wish well you bro.

hah, yeah the surgeon didn't want to cut into me for a week because when I bailed I also had some pretty bad road rash from hitting the dirt/rocks, it tore the shirt I was wearing even. He wanted to make sure no infection around the area and such. I don't remember much of that week, just stayed on my recliner taking 6 percocet's (oxy) a day and sleeping, lol.

Broke my collarbone in a motorcycle accident on hwy 193 couple years back. It takes a lot longer to heal because you don't realize how important that none bone is. Even though its been a few years , there is still a little bit of pain from it here and there. Enjoy the meds while it lasts, lol
