Looks like Ford will be putting up something to compete with the Jeep SRT-8 and the Trailblazer SS on Wednesday.

Sounds like a 3.5 twin turbo to me. Definitely won't have the hp of the other two, but the Explorer will be much lighter and a lot better on gas. Hope it has a decent tow rating though. Ecoboost mods are already out there with SHOs and the Flex running impressive 1/4 times with only a tune.

they should put the new 5.0 engine in the explorers, that would be bad ass against tbss and srt8jeep

Yeah I've driven a couple of those ecoboost. Pretty cool trucks. Can't wait to see what the aftermarket does for them.
