I run a 4" cowl hood, unknown brand. Its very lite but I dont think its fiberglass because its super clean through the vents aswell. Its my daily driver and havent gotten pulled over "yet" had it for like a year. Im 5'7 and i can see fine due to my racing seats being an inch higher. The hood closes fine and functions good, but i never trust it and keep it locked just incase. I have a pic of it on my profile, check it out.

Nope nope nope, if your goanna pay a couple hundred, you might aswell go big or dont get a cowl hood, if you want 2" then get a cobra hood, cobra svo, ram air etc.
Go to my profile, i have a facebook link on there. Go to my pics of cars and check out my wifes purple 5.0 she got a 2 1/2" cobra svo hood and looks great

ONLY BUY cervini
you can get away with a harwood but know that the sides dont go down like the stock hood...so you can almost see into engine bay
only those 2 will be good 'glas and nice and flat with no fitting needed
all the rest that i have ever seen in 20 some years of foxbody ownership are wavy and horrible
2 1/2" or 3" whatever cervini calls theirs is PERFECT
this is the only pic i can find right now

+1 on cervinis. They are top quality no modifications need to be done to the hood. It's literally just a straight bolt on and go. You get what you pay for.

Nice hoods you guys have!! I hear great things about Cervini but there cowl is to big for my liking. I was kicking around the idea of the steel 2" but the cowl part looks a little to squared for me. H.O fibertrends has a 1 1/2" that i was looking to maybe get. What are your guys thoughts on them?
